With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved founder, Murray Orgel.
In the early 1970s, Murray lit the very first spark that would become Electromart, opening our first store at the corner of Gage and Beach in the heart of Hamilton. From those humble beginnings, he built more than just a lighting business β he created a legacy rooted in integrity, family values, and a profound commitment to the community.
For over 50 years, Murrayβs vision guided Electromart: to offer high-quality products at fair prices, and to treat every customer with care and respect. His passion and leadership laid the foundation for our growth β from our expanding product line to the many communities we proudly serve today.
Murray was more than our founder β he was our guiding light. His warmth, generosity, and tireless work ethic continue to inspire all of us at Electromart.
We will carry his legacy forward in every light we share, every customer we welcome, and every step we take together.
